Nine Years Theatre invites applications for NYT Brewery — a long-form actor training programme shaped by years of sustained practice, inquiry, and work in the rehearsal room.
NYT Brewery is a space for slow, rigorous cultivation — where performers train, question, and return to fundamentals over time. Rooted in NYT’s longstanding commitment to actor training, the programme brings together methodologies and practices that the company has developed, refined, and lived through its work.
Led by Mia Chee, artistic director of NYT Brewery, and Nelson Chia, the programme seeks to nurture performers who are grounded, responsive, and increasingly able to work with clarity and confidence in Mandarin performance for the stage.
